    In Real-Time

Five years ago I started working on the NVIDIA DemoTeam to create real-time 3D demos that show off the latest and greatest in GPU technology.

Super Sonic Rocket Sled is a real-time physics based demo that puts the user in charge of a fully simulated rocket sled. Medusa is an evil snake temptress in this three minute short. Alien -v- Triangles shows how dynamtic tessellation can be used to change a character's outer appearence and blasted away to its skeleton. Glowball is a fun interactive game for the Android tablet that features cloth and interactive lighting. And last is Dawn shown in an amazing forest with depth of field, skin shaders, and real-time dynamic hair.

    Animation Technology @ Disney

At Disney Feature Animation I had the opportunity to design many useful tools for the animation process.

Here are just a few projects from my over 12 year stay at the Mouse.

    TechTV - The ScreenSavers

In 2000 I was asked to do a few segments for a new cable television network called TechTV. My segments featured helpful hints on how to do high-end 3D animation at home. Something that is common place 12 years later.

Here is one of my clips from a show called The ScreenSavers with Leo Laporte.

Colossal Pictures & MTV's Liquid Television

I had the pleasure of working for one of the coolest production companies on the planet, Colossal Pictures in San Francisco. At no other company have I ever worked on such wacky and fun projects. In my two years I helped create about 20 commercials, a 3D ride film, and two seasons of MTV's Liquid Television. Fun times.

Here are two episdoes of The Block Heads that I made in the summer of 1993. A few fun facts: The animation was created with a pre-pre-pre motion capture system in Menlo Park. Before this show the system was mostly used to analyze golf swings. Another highlight of this project was working with Mark Mothersbaugh from Devo to create the soundtrack.

NOTE: Flash is required for these clips. Trying to fix this problem.

Sorry...now MTV has hijacked my videos....they will be back up shortly.....

    Babylon 5 - Pilot Movie

I was employee number 3 at Foundation Imaging. Our small team of 5 was tasked with creating the digital effects for the pilot of Babylon 5 using 15 Amiga computers and Lightwave 1. At the end of the project, we walked away having completed over 70 shots and accepted an Emmy Award for our efforts.

    This is not Frank's planet

A college short film project that I worked on in 1989. The film was accepted in the Dallas Siggraph Computer Animation Festival, Spike & Mikes Twisted Festival of Animation, and MTV's Liquid Television. This is also my first (and so far only) venture into voiceover work - I'm the voice of Rudy in the short.

NOTE: Flash is required for this clip. Trying to fix this problem.
